Lisa Erminia Giacchino Tolman

Lisa Erminia Giacchino Tolman
June 23, 1963 – October 8, 2025

Lisa Tolman, 62, entered into eternal rest on October 8, 2025. Her life was a radiant reflection of faith, creativity, and love. These are qualities she shared generously with everyone who knew her.

Lisa was born on June 23, 1963, in Upper Darby, PA to George and Maureen Giacchino. Lisa’s life was shaped by her generous heart, her love of connection, and her joy in making life fun. She was a proud graduate of Clear Lake High School (Class of 1981), Texas A&M University (Class of 1985), and the University of Houston Law Center (Class of 1988). During her school years, Lisa was an avid athlete, playing both volleyball and soccer. She remained passionate about
sports throughout her life. Her time at Texas A&M was especially meaningful, and she carried her spirited love for the Aggies proudly in all she did.

Lisa began her career with State Farm before discovering her true calling in education. As a beloved teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School and Mount Carmel Academy, she inspired countless students through her compassion, humor, and joy for life. In addition to teaching, she coached both soccer and volleyball, sharing her love of sports with her students. Lisa ultimately found her professional home as a college counselor at Mount Carmel Academy, where she was deeply committed to helping each student grow both academically and personally. Driven and determined, Lisa excelled in whatever she put her mind to, leaving a mark of excellence and kindness in all she pursued.

Outside of her career, Lisa’s heart was always drawn to the arts. Whether performing in local theatre with Stagedoor and Baytown Little Theatre, lending her beautiful voice to the St. Mary’s Choir, or simply filling her home with music and laughter, she shared her love of creativity with everyone around her.

Lisa will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, deep Catholic faith, and devotion to her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures; vacations, singing, dancing, and time spent with those she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maureen Giacchino, and her sister, Amy Giacchino Bates, who she now joins in eternal peace. She is survived by her husband, Scott Tolman; her daughter, Sophia Tolman; her son, CJ Tolman; her sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Steve Huggins; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Her memory will forever shine as a reminder of joy, kindness, and the beauty of a life well lived.
