Linda Lancon Phillips

Linda Lancon Phillips, 70, of Bacliff, TX, passed away surrounded by her loved ones March 1, 2018, at her home.  Linda was born July 11, 1947, to Podgie and Darlene Lancon in Galena Park, TX.  She was a bus aide for special needs children for many years with the Dickinson ISD, a loyal member of the Dickinson VFW Ladies Auxillary, and a loving wife, sister, mom, and Meamaw. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister Vivian Carr; and brother Leroy Lancon.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 51 years George Phillips; sons David “Skipper” Phillips and wife Jaclyn, and George “Mikey” Phillips II and wife Paula; sister Carol Ann Stubblefield and husband Porter; brother Ronnie Lancon and wife Jackie; brother-in-law Byron Carr; grandchildren Audrey Phillips, David Phillips, George Phillips III and wife Alexis, Sarah Hogue, Ronda Phillips, Brie Martin, and Chloe Phillips; great-grandchildren Abigail Elmore, Bubba Elmore, Bella Elmore, Boogie Phillips IV, Lilly Phillips, and Deondre Martin, Jr; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation in Linda’s honor will be held 5:00 – 6:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life, 6:00 pm, Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, TX. Honorary pallbearers will be David “Skipper” Phillips, David Phillips, Bubba Elmore, Mikey Phillips II, Mikey Phillips III, and Mike “Boogie” Phillips IV.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children

  3. Linda and I were good friends growing up in Bacliff and I have some wonderful memories of that friendship. I remember when she and Michael began dating and how crazy she was about him which seemed never to falter for 51 glorius years. She will be deeply missed. My love and prayers to all of you during this sad time. I wish I could be with you.
