Laura Diana Hernandez

Hernandez Photo005Laura Diana Hernandez, 53, of Texas City Texas passed away November 15, 2015 surrounded by her family. Laura was born August 21, 1962 to Richard Hernandez and Clara Grimaldo in Galveston, Texas. She worked as a senior legal assistant for Lyons and Plackemier, until they split and she continued working for Linebarger, Goggan, Blair and Sampson for over 25 years. Laura also worked for American National Insurance and Benny’s Liquor. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Raul Grimaldo, and a sister, Ronda George.

Laura is survived by her mother, Clara Grimaldo; Father Richard Hernandez; Step-Mother Myrna Hernandez; sisters, Debbie Hernandez and Vickie Holland and husband Alan; brothers Richard Fred Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez and wife Alyssa, Steven Grimaldo, and Thomas Grimaldo; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; her adopted sisters and family at Benny’s Liquor; and her beloved panda bears.

A visitation in her honor will be held 5:00 to 6:00 pm, Thursday, November 19, 2015 with funeral services at 6:00 pm, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas.

Special thanks to her bosses and coworkers: Randall Harris, Mark Ciavaglia, Brent Richbook, Ron Plackemeir, Claudia Tibaldo, Nancy Olney, and Sheila Neal and to the nurses at UTMB in ICU 2, 8c and 7c.

Also thanks to the A-Med hospice team for her care.
