Laila Moine McBurnett, 59, of Douglassville, Texas passes away Friday September 25, 2026, in Galveston. Laila was born December 10, 1966 in Texas City.

She was a phenomenal daughter, fantastic mother a loving grandmother and a loyal friend. She sacrificed more than what she got back. Laila was an avid fan of Pastor Phil of 2018.

She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Thomas: two sons Justin McBurnett of Texas City, and Brody McBurnett of Texas City; two brothers: Eiron Thomas (Lori) of Texas City and Kenneth Calvin Thomas of Texas City; three grandchildren: Tyler McBurnett, Ava McBurnett and Jace McBurnett, and Bubba her dog.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque. A Memorial will follow service at 2:00pm, with Megan Gibson officiating.
