Kimberly Jean (Block) Quinn

Kimberly Jean (Block) Quinn was a free-spirit, energetic, fun-loving, personality, quick to tell a joke or do something to make a person smile.

Kim was born on October 14, 1957 at Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas.  At the age of six, Kim quickly rose to stardom in her role as Margaret Rose in the movie, “Baby, The Rain Must Fall,” and she has been a star ever since. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1976. She worked as a bartender in the greater Clear Lake area.  She was an assistant manager for Petco and worked for veterinarians as a veterinarian technician.

Kim was an avid animal lover, picking up strays as she found them, nurturing them to health, finding them good homes or keeping them herself. (Most often, she kept them herself.) Kim married John Quinn on June 27th, 2008 and inherited a large extended family.

Kim is preceded in death by her father, Bob O. Block; Brother Kerry Allen Block; step-father R.P. Ward and Mike Bunting.  Sissy is survived by her mother, Jean Ward and her husband, John Quinn, and his children and grandchildren; extended family members and friends.

Kimmie was loved by all who met her, and that was many. They quickly became “brothers” or “sisters,” and she meant that from the bottom of her heart. She was loved by family and friends and will be missed by all.

Memorials may be given to Waggin’ Tails Dog Rescue of San Jacinto County 6301 FM945 South Cleveland, TX 77328 www.facebook.com/waggintailsdba  paypal.me/waggintailsrescue or the charity of your choice.

  9. Kim was a one in a million lady who brought the sparkle of joy back to my brother John’s eyes…. I could see it in the way he looked at her the first time John brought Kim to meet us here in South Carolina! I had not seen him so happy in quite some time, I am glad to have known Kim, she brought happiness to a room when she walked in…. I will miss her smile and laughter…. and her jokes! It is not the life we live or have lived, but the journey we experience with those me meet along the way, how we treat one another with love and kindness, making others laugh to brighten their day, to share personal stories of happy trails and trying times, what we learn from life itself and to live every day to the best of our abilities….. and that is what Kim Quinn taught to many that she encountered. We are not promised tomorrow, we never know when the Good Lord decides to bring us back home…. so make the best of every day, so something good to help others who may need an extra hand, spread joy and laughter to those you meet, especially stray animals just as Kim did…. lead by example…. in memory of Kim Quinn… she wasn’t just my sister in law…. she was my new sister with love! I will certainly miss you…. we don’t have to say “good-bye”…. just “until we meet again! So in the mean time Kim…. keep smiling and laughing… and sharing our many jokes…. until we meet again!

  12. To me she was Bimberly that is what i called her for as far back as I can remember. We used to Bartend together . The first time I ever met Kim and Tony they came into my work and I still remember what she was wearing her black leather pants black high heel boots and her hair short and spikey. She was so Beautiful and we became friends right away. Her and Tony and me and my husband were close friends for many many years I could sit and tell stories for hours thay I can still laugh about every time I think about them . You always knew when Kim was in the room she could entertain you for hours. Anyone who knew her loved her she was a Beautiful sole. Would do anything for anybody. And loved animals and her dogs. Even though Tony’s kids werent hers she loved them like they were my daughter and Forest are still close friends. We lost touch a few years back when she got married and moved away. My daughter still talked to her sometimes. She will be missed by so many. Kim was one of a kind. God definitely broke the mold after her. I will cherish my memories and my time with her. Prayer too her family and husband. I will always love you Bimberly.. Till we meet again. 🙏❤

  16. When watching the movie, Baby the Rain Must Fall, I always wondered about the darling little girl who played Margaret Rose. She did such an excellent job in that role playing opposite such big stars at the time. I was only 5 years older but she made an impression in one of my favorite movies. I recently did a little research after re watching and was so very sad to learn she passed on. From her beautiful picture I could still see the little girl. May she be resting in peace.
