Kevin Duwayne Smith, 48, a resident of Clear Lake, TX, passed away on February 2, 2020 in South Houston, TX. Kevin was born on February 13, 1971 in Webster, TX and he attended Gateway Church.

He attended school in Clear Creek ISD where he was an avid sports player. He loved animals adamantly and would go out of his way to rescue them. He truly enjoyed trying new foods and would encourage others to do the same. He worked in the field of HVAC for over 20 years. He was known as an extremely hard worker. Loved his children with all of his heart and pursued spending as much time as possible with them.

He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, playing golf, watching cartoons with his children, generally being silly, dancing, singing, had an infectious laugh and loved to make others laugh.

His devotion to the Lord was unwavering and always attempted to spread God’s word. We know that Kevin is watching over us all and when it is our time, he will be waiting with open arms.

Kevin is survived by his 3 children; daughter, Macy Courtlynn Smith, Deanna Luprete (mother of Macy) and Railey Elise Smith; son Kevin Seth Smith, Melissa Primeaux(mother of Railey and Kevin Seth); fiancée, Selena Soliz; mother, Beverly Flood, husband Joe and father, Dewayne Smith, wife Louise; sisters: Dana Martin and Robin Donehue, husband Wade; brothers: Christian Flood, Adam Flood, wife Roxanna, Ryan Flood, wife Laura, Justin Roughgarden, wife Mamie, Kyle Flood, wife Angelic and Jason Hutchins, wife Arlene.

There will be a memorial visitation Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581.
