Kenneth Carl Rickley II
Kenneth Carl Rickley II, 48, of Pearland, Texas, unexpectedly passed away on June 26, 2026.
Ken was born in Houston, Texas, on September 25, 1977. After graduating from Endeavor High School in 1997, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 2000. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, stationed at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado in Coronado, California. His military service reflected the same qualities he carried throughout his life: strength, humility, and resilience.
After his military service, Ken entered a career in the oil and gas industry, where he worked from 2007 to 2023 before transitioning to industrial equipment with Axxiom Manufacturing Inc.
Ken was known for always creating positive energy with his quick wit and humor to find a way to make others laugh. Cherishing his family, he took immense pride in fatherhood and loved being a devoted girl dad. His deep love for animals and naturally generous spirit meant he never hesitated to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Always ready to help others without expecting anything in return, he made the world better through his kindness, laughter, and unmistakable spirit. If something was broken, Ken was the person you called. Whether it was a car, radio, firearm, or just about any gadget, he enjoyed solving problems and getting things working again. Everyone lucky enough to know him felt the impact of his presence.
Ken’s legacy continues through his wife of 18 years, Jessica Rickley; his daughters, Kameron Rickley and Lauren Rickley; his stepdaughter, Ashlyn Vasquez; his mother, Rose Rickley; his sisters, Rose Lichorobiec and Melissa Rickley; his mother-in-law, Barbara Glorioso, and father-in-law, Ritchie Glorioso; his brothers-in-law, John Lichorobiec, Fabian Perez, and Mikie Sopczak; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Sopczak; his nieces, Alyssa Matzonkai, Sarah Perez, Rebecca Lichorobiec, and Ashleigh Hart; his nephew, Kye Sopczak; along with many extended family members, cherished friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Kenneth Carl Rickley II will be remembered for his service to his country, his unwavering love and protection for his family, and the countless lives he touched.
A visitation honoring Ken’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Church. 108 W Edgewood Dr Friendswood, TX 77546. Going to miss you, Sailor. We had a lot of plans left to go after. Seems you and God had other plans. Struggling with that, but I’ll hand it over. I know we shared that sentiment. We shared a lot of deep conversations about life on the couch in my office. Really going to miss your “Jesus take the wheel” tag line when we would break from stressful work meetings. It will continue to play out in my head though. I’m going to miss our girl Dad talks. Man, I’m praying for your girls, Jessica and the family. I appreciate all your support over the last few years as we tried to do the best we could with the goals we were tasked to achieve. You and your team did some awesome things. I appreciate your passion for those that needed a brighter light shined on them. You really cared for people. I look forward to seeing you again someday and I’ll do my best to hold onto the special memories we shared along the way. Rest easy brother.
Ken as a ‘fixer.” His first instinct was to troubleshoot a problem and try to fix it himself. That was my immediate connection to him when we hired him at Axxiom. He drove his crew like a leader and not as a boss. He expected much from them but was right beside them doing the hard work with them. He led the charge not from the general’s tent but was the first horse on the battlefield, with his sword in the air. Ken was a thinker. He was a planner. He was passionate. He loved what he did. He loved his team. He loved his company. His skills were wide ranging and there were few situations where he did not have a way forward. Many hours we spoke of all things manufacturing and also of life’s more complex topics and the things that brought us joy. He was patriotic, a defender of the Second Amendment, a lover of his family and a loyal friend. He was always first in line to help someone in need. I will miss his presence dearly and of watching him grow as a man and as a leader. My prayers continue to rise for his family that God grant them an ever-growing strength and peace that can only be found in our Lord Jesus who Ken served and loved. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 Godspeed my friend – till we meet again in Glory.
I really didn’t know your husband very well. I remember many times that he was at Magnolia, helping at different events. He defiantly was always helping for PTA, events. Jessica, you were one of the teachers that visited my son Jared, when he was in the hospital. When my family and I was dealing with our six year old son’s cancer diagnosis. You asked if we needed anything. Then you asked what was Jared’s favorite snacks. Then one day you arrived to our house with bags of Jared’s favorite snacks. I will never forget how big your heart is and how you put a smile on Jared’s face. I’m saying to you with all of my heart. Anything you need just let me know I’ll be there in a HOT MINUTE. It doesn’t have to be now, it can be weeks, months or years down the line just let me know. I’m praying for you and your family.
