Katie Ellen Thomas,97, resident of San Leon, Texas passed away October 31, 2019. She was born August 6, 1922 in Comfort, Texas to parents, James and Martha Bierschwale. Katie worked in the legal field as a secretary of over fifty years. She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Bacliff, Texas and the Lions Club of Bacliff.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Laskoskie of Dickinson, Texas and son, Jimmy Thomas also of Dickinson, Texas. Also, she is survived by grandchildren Tracy Louvar, of League City, Texas. Carol McCord of Seabrook, Texas. James Thomas Jr. of Webster, Texas. James Wayne Combs of Bacliff, Texas. Carl Combs of Bacliff, Texas. Nanette Hulsey of Bacliff, Texas. Robert Walter Thomas of San Leon, Texas. Katie has many great and great-great grandchildren. Katie has a surviving nephew Jack Esser of Kendalia, and her niece Mary Jane Esser Morrison of Texas.
Katie Thomas is predeceased by her Parents, a daughter Martha Cade Combs, and her son Robert Henry Thomas. Also, a granddaughter Kitty Ellen Sneed.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at San Leon Cemetery in San Leon, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Delbert Landry, Chris Reliford, Tyler Siebert, Wesley McCord, James Thomas Jr., and James Combs. ,
Pastor Dick Sumner of New Hope Baptist Church will officiate the service.
