Katheryn “Kay” Anne Starnes
Katheryn “Kay” Anne Starnes, 77, of League City, Texas passed away December 8, 2015. Kay was born April 24, 1938 to Oliver and Katherine Jenkins in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was a devote member of the Dickinson Church of Christ, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Dean Starnes, and a brother James Oliver Jenkins.
Kay is survived by her daughters, Deänne Starnes Voss and husband George, Teresa Starnes Brinkerhoff and husband Gary, son Ronald Dean Starnes and wife Linda, brother Marshall Jenkins and wife Wannetta, sister-in-law Sally Jenkins, grandchildren Matthew (Krista) Voss, Sarah Voss, Zachary Voss, Kolby Smith, Kristin (Jim) Wisenbaler, and Chyan (Weston) Heck, and three great grandchildren.
A visitation in her honor will held Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, with funeral services 2:00 pm, Monday, December 14, 2015, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
I know your Mom lived life for her children and her family. Grounded in faith and supported by her never ending capability for love, it saddens us to hear that her work here is done. Rejoice in the knowledge that your Mom, now rejoined with your Dad, will forever be watching over you and yours and that their timeless ways will live on in all that knew and loved them. The echoes of her wise words will forever be heard as you remember the warmth in every hug.
