Julie Lynn Simpson-Bushey

Julie Lynn Simpson-Bushey, 59, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 21, 1966, to Harold and Lamerel Simpson, Julie lived a life defined by strength, compassion, loyalty, and an unwavering love for the people she held close.

Julie proudly served her country in the United States Navy, a chapter of her life that reflected her courage, resilience, and deep sense of duty. She carried those qualities with her throughout her life, alongside a strong Lutheran faith that guided her with grace and kindness through both joyful and difficult times.

Before making Dickinson her home, Julie spent many years in California, collecting memories, friendships, and stories that she loved to share. She had a spirit that could make people feel cared for instantly, whether through her honesty, her humor, her fierce protectiveness, or simply the comfort of her presence. Julie loved deeply and wholeheartedly, especially when it came to her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her daughters and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.

Julie will be remembered for her caring heart, her strength through life’s hardships, and the love she gave so freely to those closest to her. Her presence was larger than life, and the loss of her leaves a space that can never truly be filled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lamerel Simpson.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Brittany Wold (Tyler) and Bailey Loving (Cody); her brother, Jeff Simpson (Scoti); her beloved grandchildren, Tatum, Alexis, and Hunter Skye; and her uncle, Alton Emsoff, along with many extended family members and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

Though her time here feels far too short, the love Julie gave so freely will remain with those who knew her forever

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julie’s honor to Cancer.org or Deliverfund.org
