Joyce Leger LaBry

Joyce Leger LaBry, 80, of Texas City passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Rayne, Louisiana.  She was born July 6, 1936 in Rayne, LA to Daniel and Florence Leger.  Joyce was a lifelong resident of Texas City. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.

She had a love for Cajun music and cooking Cajun food.

She also enjoyed and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Milton LaBry and grandson Chaz LaBry.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Darlene and Tom Morton of Texas City, TX, three sons and daughters-in-law; Donnie and Laura LaBry of Santa Fe, TX, Randy and Robin LaBry of Bayou Vista, TX and Daniel and Angie LaBry of Providence Village, TX; her sister Kathy and husband John Guidry of Rayne, LA; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

The family would like to thank Kat and Johnny Guidry for their excellent care they give to their mother and also the Hospice of Acadiana.

A visitation will be on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with the funeral service at 1:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with Deacon Steve Mistretta officiating.

Pallbearers will be Trey Morton, Josh LaBry, Jordan LaBry, Nikolas Fuentes, Greg Cook and David Fuentes.

  3. Your Mama was one of the most beautiful women I have ever known. She was so kind. She loved to laugh. Her joy was contagious. Your parents were the best! We were all blessed to have them in our lives. My heart aches with yours. Hold on to your Love and Faith.
