Joseph (‘Joey’) Arnold Doxey

Joseph (‘Joey’) Arnold Doxey, 49, of Texas City, Tx died  Wedneday, April, 19, 2017 on the island of St. Vincent where he was attending St. James School of Medicine.  Joey passed away unexpectedly and from natural causes.
Joey was born March 25, 1967 in Lake Charles, La.  Joey spent his childhood in Grand Chenier, La and his most current residence was in Texas City, Tx with his wife, Veronica Doxey.  Prior to injury, he worked as  a Registered Nurse at UTMB Medical Center in Galveston and most recently was a medical school student at St. James School of medicine on the island of St. Vincent.  Joey was a compassionate, loving, and generous husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He is survived by his wife, Veronica Doxey, father J.W.Doxey Jr.,  daughter, Kristen Doxey, step-daughter, Stephanie Reyna, step-sons, Julian Reyna and Alex Reyna, two brothers Duncan Doxey, Bryan Doxey and wife Teena Doxey, sister Denine Gasway and husband Brad Gasway, two grandchildren Samara and Dani Reyna,  four nephews, Wesley Doxey, Scott and Cade Gasway, Jonah Doxey and one niece, Sarah Doxey.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, JoAnn Doxey.
Memorial service will held 7:00pm, Friday, April 28, at Crowder Funeral  Home located at 111 E Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598.
