Jose ‘Lolo’ Soto
Jose Dolores Soto Jr., 75, of Dickinson Texas passed away March 11, 2022. Jose was born March 18, 1946, to parents Jose Soto Sr and Maria Ramos Sanchez. Joe was beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. Jose’s true passion was music. He was a member of Lolo and the Originals and loved to entertain.
Jose was preceded in death by his father: Jose Dolores Soto Sr and his mother and stepfather: Maria Ramos Sanchez and Pedro Sanchez.
Left to cherish his memories are his children: Elisa Soto, Steven Soto (Deysi) and Joey Soto; siblings: Rachel Soto, Mary Baysore, Hilda Bautista (Alejos), Norma Terrasaz (Miguel), Ruben Sanchez (Sara), Pete Sanchez (Donna), and Robert Sanchez (Maggie); grandchildren: Marissa, Miranda, Sonya, Adrian, Gabriela, Alejandro, Andres, Isaiah, Devon, and Israel; god children: Rick Herrera, Michael Garza, Rick Hernandez, Sadie Lerche, and Danielle Herrera; 11 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
There will be a visitation March 17, 2022, at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson from 5:00pm to 6:00pm and a funeral service starting at 6:00pm.
RIP my long time friend, my condolences to the family. you were a music legend to all the Hispanics in our area in the 60’s and will never be forgotten. you and the Originals entertained us all for many years with your great music and your awesome singing. enjoy singing in Heaven as i know you will. Peace be with you.
