John William Jenkins

John William Jenkins of League City, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 61.  John was born on May 22, 1965 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to William and Carol (Mattson) Jenkins.

John served four years of active duty in the US Air Force, followed by thirty two years with the US Postal Service, ten years of which he was a representative of APWU.

John loved to travel, having visited Finland and the Baltic States, and most recently Iceland. John also loved to golf, and was a two time Long Drive Champion at the Mike Paine annual PT Sebago Golf Tournament.

John is survived by his sisters JoAnn Narro, Diane Rinkus and her husband and friend John Rinkus. He also leaves behind many cousins, dear friends, and loved ones. John truly loved his family, especially his niece Megan Oliveira, nephew and godson Maxx Rinkus, grand niece Sophia Oliveira, grand nephew Zavier Martinez, and godson Brenden Avery.

A celebration of a well lived life to follow.

In lieu of flowers, John requests donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 40726, Nashville, TN 37204.
