John Melverd Kiser, 85, resident of League City, Texas passed from this life into eternal life, February 24, 2026 in his home surrounded by family. He was born to parents, John Melverd Kiser, Sr. and Rose Marie Mcloud Kiser on October 31, 1940 in Kilgore, Texas.

John was a member of the League City United Methodist Church. He was a proud and devoted husband of 48 years; loving father and grandfather.  John was an independent business owner in the heating and cooling industry, Kiser Service Company from 1948 – 2010, providing a beautiful home and life for his family.

He loved to travel in their motorhome, and he never met a stranger on the road or off. They traveled nearly all over the USA and most of Canada. He had a wonderful green thumb and enjoyed spending the later years at the family farm in Laneville.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother James Kiser.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory; his loving wife Deven Kiser; two sons, John Brandon Kiser and wife Katie, and Jared James Kiser and wife Heather; grandchildren, Kayla Kiser, Liam Kiser, Kora Kiser, Korbin Kiser and Kallen Kiser; as well as numerous extended family, friends and colleagues.

In his honor a visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from  5:00-7:00pm with a funeral service on Monday March 2, 2026 at 2:00pm in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Officiated by Sr Pastor Pat Bell. Interment immediately following at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
