  1. I’m thankful to have memories spent with you through the years and the late-night “Marites” we do, which I will miss very much. I know you will say this is “corny” but I cherish all the wonderful times and conversations we shared. You may be gone but your legacy lives on with us, your memory will always live within me and all countless friends, co-workers, and people you have touched.

You lived your life to the fullest and accomplished above and beyond anyone’s expectations. I will miss our sporadic cousin texts about sometimes mundane things and at other times serious life stuff. I respect how you decided to handle your illness and your exit. Private and with grace as always.

  6. 45 years of friendship. Since kindergarten we were classmates, best friends, allies, dance mates and later in life relatives. You fought the good fight sister friend. They say friends are the family we choose. Being chosen by you was the greatest moment of my life and when you passed on it’s the worst moment of my life. Saying goodbye isn’t for us I will say I look forward to seeing you my dearest sister friend again. For now, rest. The battle has ended . Go in peace Jen. You will be missed and will always be remembered.

  10. We all started almost the same time with our new career in the U.S., bonded, and became true friends. We shared our struggles, trials and most of all, so much fun times and a good laugh that cemented our friendship. Even if we’ve moved on to different places, we did not lose contact and our conversations felt like it was as fresh as yesterday. I will miss your laughter my friend specially when you sing songs in the karaoke. To this day, I cannot believe that the person I sat with in Guam will be one of my best friends. Thank you for letting me and the rest of the Barakudas experience the goodness of God in you. You will always be in our hearts. Till we meet again, KABAYAN.

  12. Our deepest condolences to John, Aaron and the whole family.
It has been an honor knowing Jenny and becoming close friends with her together with Bebs, Robert and Roy. We even call ourselves the “Barakudas” instead of “Barkadas”. We shared so much laughter and tears with Jenny especially during our Baytown days. We all started from scratch as “fresh off the boat immigrants “ in Baytown, Texas. Jenny and John helped me out with babysitting my son Micole and I appreciate that a lot. Her son, Aaron and my son, Micole became good friends when they were little ,as they were almost the same age and were classmates in preschool. Jenny remained close to us even thou we parted ways as I moved to California and the rest of us moved to other states as well, while she stayed in Texas. Our friendship remained solid! We never lost that closeness despite the distance. We had the privilege of visiting her last February and we will never forget the memories we shared .
She is an inspiration to all! Indeed a very passionate, dedicated icu nurse then become the best educator . She managed to fulfill her dreams and obtained Doctorate in Nursing Practice despite her illness. She received so many awards as she continued to educate and have several speaking engagements. She deserves all the awards she got and more as you will seldom find someone as passionate and dedicated as her. People don’t know this, but she also does her own charity work that she traditionally fulfill yearly by helping out unfortunate kids in the Philippines.
Truly an amazing individual and one of a kind!
Her life maybe short but she had a full life and was able to accomplish so much in such a short time! She wished to have lived longer as she still want to do more and help more but God has his own plan. She is now with our Lord God enjoying Heaven!
Jenny we are still in disbelief! You will be missed by so many! I will miss you so much! When it’s my turn to go , i hope you will be there to welcome me. See you in heaven my dear friend! I love you ❤️❤️❤️

  16. I am still in disbelief knowing you are gone Doc. Jen, I will be missing exchanges of messages and the laughter we shared. A dedicated nurse who have lots of dreams and aspirations that made a difference in the field of nursing. So blessed that our path have crossed, we bonded well as we traveled together to represent HMB on several Magnet Conferences, you always have that great ideas churning on how our practices be known through the EBP’s you published. For those who didn’t know, Jen also has a soft heart for kids that were in need and helped sponsor some Charities back in the Philippines. Jen, your fond memories will linger in our hearts,
Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
To John and Aaron , Kuya Johnny and Ate Rebecca & the whole family May your find peace and comfort for all the great memories Jen has left behind. Our Condolences to the whole family. May Jen Rest in Peace 🙏 Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

  17. Our heartfelt prayers continue for John, Aaron, and family. Jennifer was a shining light in our world. Her love for God and her faith in Him shined brightly through everything she did. It was such a blessing to share friendship throughout the years. She has impacted the lives of many as a friend, nurse, mentor, and nurse educator.

I will miss her late night text messages where we would think of new innovative practices to improve healthcare through evidence-based practice.

Praying God holds your family closely and provides His peace and comfort today and in the days ahead.

  18. My dear friend Jenny, my heart is heavy because you’re gone, yet it’s filled with a profound sense of gratitude for having had the privilege to know you and call you my friend. You exhibited a zest for life that was contagious. I can vividly remember when we were both encouraging each other years ago to pursue higher education. Some of our college classmates also shared how you motivated them to go back to school. You have a spirit that was indomitable. You completed your DNP at a time you were battling your illness, top of your class no less!

You’re so beautiful inside and out. You had a unique way of making your friends feel special and valued. You took time to reach out and call/text me every so often. And when we talk, it never seemed like we haven’t seen each other in over 25 years. I will miss our chickahan on just about anything. I will miss your infectious laughter and your incredible kindness. Farewell, my dear Jenny. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. I love you.

  19. I love you Jenny. I’m sorry for not fulfilling my promise in visiting you soon. I will always carry in my heart the rich stories of life and love and struggles we often had the chance to tell each other and To which I am very grateful. I have always seen you to be one of the strongest women I have ever met and up to your last days, my heart had been laden with hope that you will get pass this trial and fully recover. My heart was looking forward to seeing you as we ransack outlet stores and eat our hearts out as what we often planned to do. But then again, as we always too discussed, our faith and God always give a different turn from what we originally plan. God has better and brilliant designs and we can only trust. Though my heart burns with sadness, I can only TRUST HIS will and just carry with me for now the memories of laughter and “marites” moments we had. Our viber messages will stay as I would go back to them every once in a while:) 🩷🩷🩷
