Dearest Reid Christian will be missed by those whose lives he touched.
His bright and ready smile always accompanied his kind and gentle spirit.
Wishing fair winds and following seas on your journey home, sweet friend.
Reid, your presence on Pine Street will be missed by me and many of your neighbors. It was always a treat to see and visit with you as you and your devoted sidekick, Peggy, often walked by! You had such a sweetness about you that will especially be missed. Although you and Mary have been neighbors for years, your recent passing reminds me, nonetheless, how fleeting life really is and how we take it for granted. We assume there will be many more opportunities to be better, nicer, and more engaged in those that are closest to us. I will hope that these sentiments do not fade away and that I can be a better, nicer, and more engaged friend and neighbor especially to your beloved Mary and Peggy! I will do my best to keep your memory alive. Rest in peace Reid.
Your friend and neighbor…..always!

What a kind and gentle person! I was stunned to hear of his passing. One of my favorite memories was when I saw him and Mary walking hand in hand in the neighborhood. So sweet! Another memory was seeing him many times walking his sweet little Peggy down the street. It was very apparent that he loved his two girls!
A soft spoken and gentle man. May his love and kindness be remembered and may he rest in peace. With love, Ellen
Reid was a quiet, kind, modest, and gentle soul. He always had a smile on this face.
He loved his family and friends, and his little dog Peggy dearly. He especially loved his devoted and selfless wife, Mary, who loved and cared for him. He was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed.
Dear Mary,
I can’t believe it’s been more than 30 year’s when you and Reid greeted us as your new neighbors. A genuine friendship grew with y’all, and for that, I am forever grateful. Most grateful for, and holding close to my heart is a recent evening we all spent together on your back deck. Reid looked happy and content which made me happy. You took such good care of him, especially in these last few, difficult years.
Reid always greeted me with his gentle smile and a warm hug, even if he had to stop whatever he was doing to say hello, he did! He was such a smart guy, problem solver, so humble and kind. I respected him immensely!
I was so thrilled when Peggy Sue became a permanent part of your family as you were both cat lovers without a dog. It was heartwarming to see Reid walking Peggy Sue, who became so attached to him, and he to her.
Reid will be dearly missed. Love you both!
