Ilene Phyllis Tawyea

Ilene Phyllis Tawyea 77, of Webster, Texas gracefully traveled home on November 18 ,2017, after a long battle of illness and pain. She left in peace at her home a lady, mother, wife, daughter and sister.

Ilene Phyllis was born in Welch, West Virginia and was the first-born child of Roland and Edna Hunt. She was a restaurant manager, chef, entrepreneur, artist, and an ad vet gardener. She was a lover of all animals, gardening, her family and many friends. She loved to read, dance, music and was a beautiful singer. She loved to entertain and cook. Most importantly she loved her husband, Larry Tawyea, and was a loving mother to her children.

Proceeded in death:Parents Roland & Edna Hunt, brothers Bobby, Lonzo, Bobby, and Darrell Hunt, daughters Sherrie Chicketti, Mona Lisa Jenkins, and Kimberly Wolfe.

Survived by her children: Tony Mack Jenkins & wife Cheryl Terry of Channelview, Texas; Michele Wolfe of Webster, Texas

Grandchildren: Chuckie & Sean Chicketti of Phoenix, AZ; Juanita Perea of Austin, Texas, Rachel Jenkins of Galena Park, Texas; Jimmie Perea Jr. of Huntsville, Texas; Stormy Howell & Windy Jenkins of Baytown, Texas; Bryce, Drew and Hannah Wark of Austin, Texas. And great grandchildren.

Siblings: Brothers Jimmy, Freddy and Michael Hunt; Sisters Louise and Rosie Bailey. Many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

The family would like to thank and recognize Texas Home Health Hospice for their endless hours and dedication to Phyllis. Special love and thanks to Latoya, Gloria, Mary, Yolanda and Dr. Tavel who loved her the moment they met her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crowder Funeral Home – Chapel, Webster, TX. Funeral Service take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Noon at Crowder Funeral Home – Chapel, Webster, TX. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
