Greta Jean Mitchell, 49, of Liberty TX, formerly Deer Park TX, passed away on May 3, 2025. She was born on June 24, 1975, in Houston, Texas. Greta was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, whose love radiated through her family. As a devoted mother and wife, she poured her heart into nurturing those around her. Her unwavering care and affection created a strong and loving bond that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Greta is preceded in death by her husband John Mitchell and sister Dannette Watson and parents Beverly and Aubrey Colston.

She is survived by her daughters Jaidin Mitchell and Jazmine Mitchell; sons Justin Elder (Felicia), and Jordan Mitchell; boyfriend Allen Jones; sisters Susie Corley, Kathy Moyer, and Rene Nonenmacher, brothers Doug Zellner (Gina) and Daniel Colston (Sarah); granddaughter Savanah Elder and one grandchild on the way; and 38 nieces and 32 nephews.

The family will receive visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday May 9th, 2025 at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581 with a Funeral service held at 3:00 p.m.
