Gerald Wenban “Gerry” Chapman, Jr., age 73, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on May 29, 1952, in Center, Texas, Gerald lived a life filled with kindness, service, and deep devotion to his family.
Known for his warm-hearted nature and ever-present sense of humor, Gerald had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. Whether sharing a corny joke or performing a magic trick, he delighted in making others smile. His grandchildren, Suzanne and Solomon, affectionately called him “Silly Grandpa,” a title he embraced with pride. He also loved hearing about the milestones of his youngest granddaughter Lucia as she began exploring the world around her—moments that brought him great happiness.
Gerald was deeply proud of his children, Elizabeth and Robert, and the lives they built with their spouses, Simin and Erin.
