Gary William Garner, 78, of Pearland, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, due to complications related to liver cancer. Born on October 24, 1947, in Rome, Georgia, Gary lived a full and memorable life defined by faith, family, hard work, generosity, and deep love for those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.A. Garner Jr and Mary Jo Garner, sister Gay Garner, brother Jan Chandler Garner, and other beloved extended relations and friends.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jacquelyne Garner; daughter Staci Hinojosa and husband Felix Hinojosa Jr.; grandsons Zachery Rocha and wife Amanda Rocha, and Joshua Rocha and wife Patricia Rocha; great-granddaughter Madison Rocha; along with numerous extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Though he will be deeply missed, he will remain forever loved and never forgotten.

A memorial service celebrating Gary’s life will be held at Lakewood Church on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
