Eric Broderson

On Wednesday, February 24, 2021, Eric Dale Broderson, loving husband of 55 years, and father, went to be with our Lord and Savior.  Eric was born on October 2, 1943, in Modesta, California, to Helen (Jennings) and Arlon Broderson.  Eric served in the U. S. Coast Guard and earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering at Cal Poly Tech State University. He worked as an engineer in the oil and gas industry for numerous companies across the country.  He married his wife Cora Mary Santa Cruz, September 14, 1966, and were blessed with five children Yvette Christine, Derek Dean, Janna Susanne, Cathleen Michelle, and Erica Helen.

Eric adored his grandchildren, loved tracing his family history, and teaching others in the local genealogy club. In his retirement, Eric found peace at his home in CO, in which he built and left as a legacy for future generations.

Eric was preceded in death by his father Arlon, his daughter Yvette, and was joined shortly by his son Derek.  He is survived by his wife Cora, mother Helen, daughters: Janna, Cathy, and Erica; grandchildren: D. J., Casey, Cody, Chasse, Tylar, Haeden, Daniel, Bobbi, Jack, and Avery, and great-granddaughter Charlee Mae.

Services for Eric will be at Crowder Funeral Home at 111 East Medical Center Blvd, Webster, Texas 77598, Friday March 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

  3. I want to express my sincere condolences for your family’s loss. It was so heartbreaking to hear the news of Derek’s passing. I worked with Derek on the same team at Baker Hughes, and I’m sure I speak for all of us that he will truly be missed. Please know your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. After my father’s death last year and my friend Eric this year, I live a more sensitive life, excited to know where they are and who they’re with, yet sad that I won’t get to see them again until I arrive in Heaven with them. In the meantime I pray for the Broderson family, for our God and Father to wrap you gently in His loving arms, holding, strengthening and encouraging you as you grieve the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. Let us know if we can be of help from Pagosa as you go through this season.
    Lovingly,
    Dan and Debbie
