Elizabeth Sanchez Monroy
Elizabeth Sanchez Monroy 81, of League City, Texas, peacefully entered God’s Kingdom on July 4, 2026.
Elizabeth was born in Edinburg, Texas, to David and Fidelia Monroy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years; Juan Sanchez, her parents; David and Fidelia Monroy, her siblings; Joe Monroy and Lema Gutierrez and her son, David Aceves.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory; her children: Joseph and Antonia Aceves, Jose Jr. and Juanita Aceves, Juan Jr. and Kimberly Sanchez, Adrian Sanchez, Mary Aceves, Alicia Santilan, and Ofelia and Rene Guilen. She was also the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren and the loving great-grandmother of 19 great-grandchildren and a loving great-great grandmother of 10 great-great grandchildren all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Elizabeth was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She was a strong, fierce and independent woman who faced life with courage. determination, and unwavering love. Her strength inspired those around her, and her caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She found joy in life’s simple blessings. Whether she was playing American Bingo or Mexican Loteria, tending to her garden casting a fishing line or spending peaceful days at the beach Elzabeth embraced every moment with gratitude She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur baby Simba whose companionship brought her comfort, happiness, and unconditional love
Elizabeth was a source of warmth kindness laughter, and unconditional love Her beautiful smile could brighten any room, and her generous spirit touched countless lives. Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with those who went before her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday July 9, 2026, from 5-7pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson. A funeral service will begin at 10:00am on Friday, July 10, 2026, in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Interment following at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
