Eileen Althea Johnson, age 98 of Friendswood, Texas was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, August 30, 2015 for a long awaited and joyous homecoming with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Eileen was born to Louise and William Kusch on April 7, 1917 in Kennar, Wisconsin. At age 16 she moved to Racine, Wisconsin and had two daughters with Floyd Johnson. She was a wonderful Christian mother and homemaker. She also worked at Sunny Rest Sanatorium, Lincoln Lutheran Home, and Dremels before retiring.

She was a member of Racine Bible Church, a faithful servant of God and loved helping her elderly friends. In 2007 Eileen moved to Friendswood, Texas to live with her daughter Sandra. She joined University Baptist Church of Houston where she loved being part of the Joy Class and Prime timers.

Eileen was one of ten children and leaves behind one sister, Betty Howell and husband, Wayne and two brothers, Roy Kusch and Harry Kusch and wife Connie. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Shirley and husband Dr. Leonard G. Hale of Kansas City, MO. and Sandra Kinard of Friendswood, Texas.

Her precious grandchildren include Nanette Hale Flynn and husband, Brian, Dan Hale, Philip Hale and wife, Sally, Kimberly Hale Downs and husband, Kenny and Pamela Hale Cubas and husband, Steve, Jolene Kinard Young, Kurt Kinard, Jennifer Kinard Annello, and Tracy Kinard Rodriguez and husband, Juan; eighteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.

Eileen had many special friends from Racine including her late best friend Lucille Cabush and lovely Virginia Kiehlbach and her wonderful caregiver families, Dan and Sue Cabush and Gordy and Pat Cabush and their families who all knew her as “grandma”.

 

A viewing well be held at Crowder Funeral Home, Webster, TX from 2 to 4pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. A service will be held in Racine, Wisconsin at Wilson Funeral Home and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
