Edgar Lee Beck

Edgar Lee Beck, 69, of Pearland, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2026. He was born on August 25, 1956, in Houston, Texas. Ed loved his family more than anything and truly cherished the time he spent with them. His talent shined bright through his love of fishing, music, art, and hobby models. He was often referred to as a “Walking Encyclopedia” with his wit and charm naturally drawing people to him. He always showed up for his family, the people he loved, and his rescue animals, all of which meant the world to him.

After graduating from high school Ed worked as an Operator for Shell Chemical, where he was employed for 35 years and retired as an Operator Educator. He was well respected for his knowledge, experience, and the way he treated others, earning him numerous awards and recognition for his achievements.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janet Beck; his children, Mary Elizabeth Beck, Robert “Bobby” Beck and his wife Cristina, Ryan Miller Beck, Jonathan “Jonny” Beck; his granddaughter, Paige House; his sister, Rae Larson and her husband Tommy; his brother James Beck and his wife Celia; his mother-in-law Jean Kubin; his sisters-in-law, Sheri Kubin and Joanie Flores; his brothers in-law, James Kubin and George Flores.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Beck and James Beck; his grandparents, William “Gramps” Miller and Margaret “Granny” Miller, and James and Lana Beck; and his infant sister Marie Anne e Beck; and his father-in-law, James Kubin. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who knew and loved him.

The family would be touched to accept your condolences at this time, along with sharing any memories. However, the Celebration of Life memorial will be planned in the upcoming months when all family members can be together. Please join us then.
