Dr. Sathish Cayenne

Dr. Sathish Cayenne was born on April 30, 1966 in Kolar, India to Smt. Leela and Sri. Narasimha Murthy, the oldest of three children. After completing his medical training at the Bangalore Medical College, India, and residency at State University of New York in Stony Brook, he went on to establish himself as one of the most beloved Cardiologists in the Greater Houston area. He was an incredible cardiologist, both within the clinic and hospital, and was adored by both colleagues and patients alike, with whom he cultivated strong, long-term relationships. A brilliant yet extraordinarily humble man, Dr. Cayenne carried equal grace, generosity, and attentiveness to those around him, whether as a father, son, brother, husband, friend, or physician.

Dr. Cayenne experienced a life full of complexity and zeal, yet focused on engaging in and sharing only the goodness. He loved to travel, was a huge sports enthusiast, and enjoyed playing games with friends. Innately altruistic, he was a quiet, generous benefactor of various charities. A pillar of strength and positivity for all, he inspired countless lives. He was extremely devoted to family and friends who all ranged from different backgrounds, and his primary ambition was to create an environment around him filled with love, compassion and kindness. This is not only a great loss for us, but the community at large. Those fortunate enough to have known this man mourn his sudden loss deeply.

He is survived by his wife, Smt. Chandra Kaipa, two sons, Samir and Sanal, his mother, and two sisters and brothers-in-law.  Please keep Dr. Cayenne’s family in your prayers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th between 11AM-2 PM at First Church of Pearland. Flowers may be sent to First Church of Pearland. For donations please donate to the orphanage at https://second-chance-network.secured.atpay.com/

After a life spent in service of others, May he Rest in Peace. We are proud to have had him with us in this world however short it was. May he remain in our hearts as inspiration to continue the legacy of benevolence he has left behind.

  6. I was deeply saddened when I heard of Dr Cayenne’s passing. I had worked with him both at Clear Lake and Bayshore hospital. He took excellent care of all the patients I had referred him to. He worked hard and always had a positive attitude. I appreciated his kindness and humbleness as a fellow physician. It is a huge loss to our community that he died so young.

  9. My association with Sathish goes back to school, till grade 12. The first thing about him was his passion for anything that he took up. Be it studies, playing marbles or cricket or his dedication to his profession. He always gave 200%. He was a role model at every stage of his life. Yet, when with friends, he was one among us. He could build a bond very easily with anyone. His unassuming nature instantly put people at ease. Age was no bar for his friendship. Being a good friend of mine, he instantly bonded with my son as well. He has guided me through difficult situations in life and did so for my son as well. Last August, in spite of his hectic schedule, he took a day off to spend time with my son who was visiting him in Houston. We, his schoolmates are yet to come to terms with our colossal loss. I can only say that he was a gem amongst humans, a selfless person to the core. May the divine grace and all our love and affection guide his way beyond the shores, from mortal life to immortality. Om Tat Sat. Om Shanti.

  10. Hi my name is Ranganath L N, a class mate of Dr Satish K N. We studied together from 2 nd STD to 9std in Lindsay Memorial School and later at Parkinson Memorial High School at KGF. Right from an young age KN was a great inspiration to all of us in school as he was always a topper,we very fondly called him battery Satish. After close to 32 years after we parted our ways to Persue our career I had to previlege to meet him at a dinner get together in Hokey stadium some 7/8 months back when he was in India recently. It was one of those moments which I cherish till date to have met your class mate after 3 decades. I express my sincere loss of such a great friend and above all a great human being and was also fortunate to be a friend of him. Good souls always depart early. That’s the fact of Life. RIP K N.

  14. Dr. Sathish Cayenne shined like bright star wherever he was, he was very humble humane and down to earth personality. He excelled in his profession as a cardiologist always at the service of the people. He was very simple and very soft spoken and never use to hurt anyone and always use to have a smiling face. His presence itself use to be a source of inspiration and confidence for others. He was a personality to be emulated by every one. He was a wonderful son for his parents, caring brother for his sisters and a loving father for his sons and a admirable husband for his wife. The world has become poorer by his absence and the haven is richer and got benefited by his presence there. All beautiful things live short and spread their fragrance. Dr. Sathish’s life though short it was wonderful and and cannot be forgotten soon.
May the Almighty give peace and happiness for him in the heaven.
May his soul rest in peace in heaven

  15. Dr. Cayenne , I will truly miss your smiling face. You truly saved my life.
He called me on a Sunday evening at my home im his soft gentle voice and told me I needed to be in his office first thing Monday morning to discuss some abnormalities he had seen in my stress test. But he said it in such a gentle way that I was not alarmed. He already had me schedule for a cath when I got there. And the day of the cath he gently placed his hand on my shoulder and said in his soft voice “dear you’re not going home today. You are having open heart surgery first thing in the morning”. Again the way he said these words I was not alarmed.. He was always the first doctor to come see me every morning. Always called me by my name.
The news of his passing has hit me so hard.
I feel like i have lost a very close family member.
I have never felt this close to any of me doctors.
May God give his family, his colleagues, his staff and patients the peace, comfort and strength that only He can give.

  19. My deepest sympathy to the Cayenne family. My heart goes out to you as you mourn your dear Sathish. Our heavenly Father lovingly assures us that he “is close to the brokenhearted.” (Ps. 34:18) He also promises to resurrect our dear loved ones back to life, as Jesus did his dear friend Lazuras. (Acts 24:15, JOhn 11:38-44) May these promises bring you comfort and give you hope for the future. (Rom. 15:4)

  24. I just wanna give my condolences to both his family and friends, especially to his family. I’ll be brief, but thought it was the most respectful thing to do. My mother had been seeing Dr. Cayenne, for about 3 years.. he had always treated her with his knowledge and a smile. Prior to hearing about the just awful and tragic news, this past Sunday.. as my mom was about to make an follow up appointment with him.. he preformed a procedure on her heart, by putting in a stint that past Tuesday, I remember waiting in the waiting room worried and restless to find out how she was doing and very skeptically about her heart being operated on, although I knew she was in good hands. Everything went well.. as I not ever meeting him before.. had the chance to have him consult me on my mom’s well being.. I immediately got a sense of relief after speaking with Dr. Cayenne who seemed very invested and professional about his work. His last words to my mother was I love you.. a genuine man, with the soul of an angel. We even shook hands as I had thanked him and told him god bless you!! I truly feel for his family and his kids. After reading about this man’s legacy.. I was honored just to have met him briefly.. may he rest in a peaceful place, and in the hearts of many he inspired, healed and infected. Love and light to you Dr. Cayenne. Your life Meant so much to so many, you will never be forgotten!!!

  44. Dr. Cayenne,
Just wanted to write you a message on your birthday.
In 2 days, it will be 2 years that you have been gone, and honestly, it’s been 2 of the most difficult, trying, and emotional years of my life, I think most people probably feel the same way.
On a lighter note, bet you were looking down on me and laughing when I accidentally sent you that text regarding a charity! I refuse to delete your contact info so oh well, lol…
Anyhow, just know that you continue to and always will be an inspiration to so many. You set a standard that others will never be able to reach, but you taught me that it’s the fight and the journey to try and get there that matters…
We miss you and love you very much,
    ~Candace

  45. I Just found out about this today 8/10/22. I am truly saddened. I remember Sattish from when he first came to Bayshore Medical Center. Without knowing of his passing I was talking about how wonderful a physician he was to a nurse from that area. That’s how I found out.
Sattish was one of the kindest persons I have ever had the privilege of working with. I was around and watched him persevere from some tough circumstances at the beginning of his career, and I always admired the way he did it. I will always remember his kind soul, great skill and will always speak of him as a friend.
