  1. Nancy, I just read in Don’s obituary that the two of you had been married for 66 years! Wow! What a record! I was 14 years old when Dad, Mother, Pat, and I were in Galveston to attend your wedding! I’ve been looking through my scrapbooks at pictures of that grand occasion. Don lived a long and faithful life – to his God, to you and your family, to the extended family, and to his church. I join you in giving thanks to God for Don Baumann, Sr. and for a life well-lived! My prayers will be with you during these days of grief and remembrance.

  7. Don, it was wonderful living next door to you for 10 years. You were a such a great listener and was always ready to help. Since we moved, I have missed our random, yet interesting conversations. A good neighbor with a kind heart is hard to find these day, but I found one with you. You will be missed because you were a good man and a loving father and a supportive husband. Your Soul is now back with our Lord, watching over us, and contributing positive and loving energy to our universe. Steve Lew

I know you hear me when we chat in the mornings on my way to work and tell you about everything going on. I will see you on the other side and it will be a joy to see you again.
