Delfino Jaramillo

Delfino Jaramillo, 90, a 45 year resident of Dickinson and League City, Texas, passed from this life, Tuesday January 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born January 10, 1930 in Santa Rita, Tamaulipas, MX. He was born to parents, Jose Maria Jaramillo & Concepcion Hinojosa.

He was a member of Shrine of True Cross Catholic Church, Dickinson, Texas.    

Delfino was a proud, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who worked hard his entire life. In his early years, when he migrated to Dickinson, Texas from Matamoros, Tamps he worked as a concrete finisher for numerous years then went on to work with the City of Webster in 1981, where he worked for over 20 years then retired.

Besides the passion of loving his family, Delfino also loved and enjoyed music.  In his younger years he would often visit the local radio station where he anxiously awaited to be selected and sing live.  Delfino played both the acoustic guitar and accordion and loved to play & sing during all the family gatherings.

Delfino is preceded in death by his parents, brothers David Jaramillo, Jose Jaramillo, Candelario Jaramillo, sister, Otilia Jaramillo, Concha Garcia and his loving wife, Paula Jaramillo.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters Norma Alicia Jaramillo, Martha Lidia Parsons, Santa Dolores Scarborough, and Maria del Rosario Bahena; sons, Juan Jose Jaramillo, Ramon Jaramillo, Gonzalo Rafael Jaramillo, Jesus Jaramillo, and Miguel Jaramillo; sisters, Cruz Soto y Velia Jaramillo; brothers, Modesto Jaramillo and Pedro Jaramillo; 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor a visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, TX with a rosary at 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, Texas.

    Tio’s kind and gentleness will be greatly missed.
    I am comforted to know that he is in heaven and once again playing his guitar and singing with the angels.

  4. I have fond memories of my uncle. He had a great sense of humor and I loved getting his surprise phone calls just to shoot the breeze. He will be missed. I think he will be having a blast being rejoined with his family up in heaven.
