David Szostak

David Szostak, 61, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025.  He was a longtime resident of League City, Texas.  He was born on October 10, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas to Richard and Bernice Szostak.

David graduated from Clear Creek High School and The College of the Mainland, earning his Master Diesel Technician Certificate.  David worked for the last 13 years as a mechanic for the Clear Creek Independent School District.  Previously, he spent several years in the construction industry working on and operating heavy equipment and machinery.  David’s skills and expertise were second to none, and he could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and be a mentor to others.

David was a fun-loving, kind person who always seemed to be in a perpetually good mood. He had a knack for always making others feel welcomed and invited, no matter what the situation might be.

David was preceded in death by his life partner, Paula Baker, with whom he shared many loving and wonderful experiences.  He cared for her deeply and was always there for her, particularly in the later years of her life.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bernice Szostak, and his oldest brother, Bill Szostak.

He is survived by his brothers Paul Szostak (Teresa T.) and Tom Szostak (Salim), and sister-in-law Teresa L. Szostak, along with nieces and nephews Matthew Szostak, Kerry Szostak, Amy Barrett, Shannon Barrett, and Dade Smith.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crowder Funeral Home in League City, with a memorial service following at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
