David Russell Warren Jr., also affectionately known as Jack by those close to him, was born 26th August 1956 in Houston, Tx, to Dorothy and David Russell Warren, Sr. He lived until the age of 70 and passed on the 29th of August 2026 at 11:31 in the morning of natural causes. David spent many years of his life living in Manvel, originally on King Street and then moving to his current residence of 10530 Mary Lane, spending nearly 48 years here where he raised his loving family.

Mr. Warren started working at the early age of 15, unofficially as janitor boy sweeping the floors at a Halliburton for Cowboy Watson, until the age of 18 where could officially be hired and start his career in the oil field services, eventually rising to the position of assistant manager of the global tools division for the North America Region; having spent nearly 30 years at Halliburton, both in an official capacity and unofficial, before working at Weatherford as a tool man for 8 years, then switching to his retirement job as an officer for the Texas Department of Corrections as a Corrections officer where he officially retired at 61, but was called back to serve for an additional year due to being understaffed. One could say his hobbies were reading history and philosophy, he enjoyed the stories of bravery, selflessness, stoicism, and brilliant strategy of the ancient Romans, but his love of history was not just limited to this time period. Frequently, he entertained works of individuals like Ayn Rand, George Orwell, Friedrich Nietzsche, Aristotle, Socrates and many other enlightened individuals. He loved books such as Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead for its deep thought and philosophical rhetoric on the superman which was built on the thoughts of philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Besides the love of literature, he loved architecture and the style of Antebellum for its grace, simplicity, and beauty and was wholly devoted to building with that mindset.

David Russell Warren Jr, was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and David Russell Warren, Sr., and his sisters; Susan Warren, Laura Ann Warren, and Amy K. Warren. While he is survived by his children, Ashley Taylor Warren and wife Kristen, Katie Burke Palmer and husband Trey, and Jason Anthony Warren; his grandchildren; Bryton Taylor Warren, Hanah Inez Palmer, and Burke Super Warren; his sisters Sharon Eovaldi and Amy Warren; his brothers, Jeff Warren, Jimmy Warren, and Daniel Warren; cousins, Terry Helton and Beth Elaine Qualia, along with numerous extended family members and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held in David’s honor on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Friends are invited to gather with the family for visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E Broadway St, Pearland TX 77581. Following the funeral service, a burial procession will proceed to Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, TX.
