Darrin William Cobb, Age 47, of Deer Park, TX, passed away on May 4, 2025, Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas.

Darrin was born on October 12th, 1977, to Ralph Warren Cobb and Jennifer Lynn Cobb of Deer Park, TX.

 He grew up in Deer Park, Texas and graduated from Deer Park High school in the spring of 1996. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Science, Cum Laude, with a Certificate in Environmental Management, from Columbia Southern University. He was elected as a member of the Order of the Sword and Shield, Academic and Professional Honor Society. Darrin also attended Texas A&M Fire School, and received many Continuing Education hours, including rope rescue, confined space rescue, as well as industrial fire brigade, and pump operations. He had so many hours, that he would teach the rope rescue course. He was also able to drive a fire truck, whether it was to a fire or in a parade. He was also granted clearance to transport, ship, receive, or possess explosive materials, under the Federal explosive license, from Bureau of Firearms and Explosives. 

Darrin worked at BASF as the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist Sr. Darrin had a distinguished career working for various petrochemical companies from 2003 until his passing. His roles included Project Technician, Chief Operator/Fire Captain, Operations Specialist/Emergency Response Coordinator in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, Health and Safety Specialist/Emergency Response Manager, Safety Engineer III/EOC Commander, and Safety Coordinator/Emergency Response Manager. As a firefighter and Emergency Response Manager, Darrin bravely donned a protective fire suit to rescue several men from burning. He also worked at the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant (RAAP), manufacturing propellants and energetic ingredients for the Department of Defense.

Darrin liked staying busy. He started his own company DNArods, (Darrin and Ann), making fishing rods. Baseball was everything to Darrin. His passion was fighting fires. He enjoyed being a part of the emergency response team. Throughout the years, he was called out to numerous plant fires.

Remaining to cherish Darrin’s memory are his spouse of 17 years, Ann Lee Cobb; children, Ty Lee Cobb age 15, Tate Jon Cobb age 10, beloved dog, Wheeler Lee Cobb age 12; parents, Ralph Warren Cobb and Jennifer Lynn Cobb, with numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Preceding Darrin in death are brother, Jon Wesley Vienneau; grandparents, Ambrose Cobb, Essie

Cobb, Robert Carpenter, Mary Carpenter; uncles, ken Cobb, Randall Cobb, Craig Lucas, Roger Spear; aunt, Brenda Lucas. 

Memorial services will be held June 28th, 2025, at 10:30am at Pearland Church Of Christ, 2217 N Grand Blvd Pearland, TX 77581, with Justin Gonzales officiating.
