Charles Anthony Coindreau

Charles Anthony Coindreau was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 5th, 1942. He had five brothers and one sister: he was the eldest.  After high school he enlisted in the Army.  In the Army, he worked on radar and received a medal for his service in Korea. This paved his way to his future career.  Once discharged, he achieved his Masters in Engineering.  He Worked at NASA and Ford Aerospace.  At Nasa, he participated and worked on projects to help ensure the first flight of the shuttle. His work earned him a ‘Red Jacket’.  During retirement he was able to explore more of his hobbies like carpentry, automotive, and sewing.  Charles wore many hats throughout his life: son, father, grandfather, babysitter, carpenter, plumber, electrician, painter, seamster, and joker.  Charles was brilliant, loving, down to earth, understanding, persistent, and possessed an amazing work ethic making him unforgettable and will always be remembered for these qualities.  He will live on through the memories of his family and friends.  He leaves behind four brothers, three children, and six grandchildren.
