Catherine Orlena Glover
Catherine Orlena Glover, 95, a resident of Santa Fe, Texas passed from this life on May 8, 2024. She was born on December 1, 1928 to parents, Nicolo Achille and Eda (Franzzo) Achille.
Catherine, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was a beautiful and loving matriarch of her family. She grew up at Galveston where her parents owned a grocery store. She met her husband when her family moved the grocery store to 61st Street. They married on November 8, 1947 and raised their five children at Galveston until they moved to Santa Fe where they remained the rest of their lives. Catherine was a wonderful and caring parent to all of her children. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her family. She taught them, first of all, strong faith. She was very talented with knitting and made many blankets, hats, and other pieces for the family. She was always supportive and enjoyed her children raising livestock in 4-H and FFA which was a long-time family tradition. Her favorite thing to do was to make her spaghetti gravy on Sundays for the family. She had many close friends that she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas Glover, Sr., daughter, Eda Dunn, son-in-law, Joey Koleng, sister Augustine Jensen and husband Harry, sister Orlena, and brother, Placido Achille and wife Edith.
She leaves behind to cherish her life, her daughters Esther Koleng, Catherine (Tootie) Tranchina and husband, Sam, and Annie Wilde and husband, Joseph and her son, Thomas Glover, Jr. and wife, Sandra. Her grandchildren are Stuart (Bubba) Dunn Jr., Kristin Weber, Chad Dunn, Sammy Tranchina, Anthony Tranchina, Eric Glover, Todd Glover, Kastin Wilde and Terry Bell Jr. Great Grandchildren: Joey, Justin, Jacob, Ricky, Nicky, Mikey, JD, Vinny, Rocco, Iris, Colton, Case, Jacey, Tyler, Patrick, and Lucas.
