Carolyn Wolford Myers
Carolyn Wolford Myers passed away May 20, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born November 9, 1935 in Circleville Ohio, the middle child of seven. Carolyn’s parents died when she was a young teen, so she was instrumental in raising her two younger brothers.
In January of 1954, Carolyn married Lawrence (Larry) Myers, also of Circleville. They had two children, Daniel in 1958 and Jennifer in 1961.
In 1965, the family moved to Cocoa Beach FL where Larry joined the Space Program at Kennedy Space Center. Five years later they moved to Houston where Larry worked at Johnson Space Center. Carolyn spent 30 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Plant Manager at the Goodyear Plant in Bayport.
Upon retiring, Carolyn and Larry traveled with dear friends throughout North and Central America, Europe, and Russia. When not traveling, Carolyn enjoyed volunteering at Interfaith Caring Ministries.
In 1970, the family joined House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Clear Lake City. Carolyn and Larry remained loyal members for over 50 years, until their passing.
Carolyn is preceded in death by husband Larry, her parents, two sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by son Daniel (and Darla) Myers of Brenham, daughter Jennifer (and David) Cargill of Houston, and grandsons Matthew (and Ashley) Myers of Northlake, Michael (and Jenn) Cargill of Frisco, and Kenneth (and Amanda) Cargill of Houston. Finally, she is survived by her beloved great grandchildren Kaylee (11) and Charlie (8) Cargill of Frisco and Emily (9) and George (5) Cargill of Houston.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
