Carol Jones, aged 81, beloved Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was called by God and loved ones to her Eternal Home on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She died at home very peacefully, surrounded by her family. She shared much joy and sacred moments with us during her last days, for which we are grateful. Born in Monticello, NY she grew up in Philadelphia, PA. After her marriage to Earl she raised her family in Maryland, and enjoyed volunteering in the PTA and hosting bridge parties. After her husband’s death she moved to Houston, TX where she loved family events, cruises, the Red Hat Society and the Delphian Society. Family and shopping were Carol’s true delight, and she was always a bright star with a great sense of humor and a big smile for all. Preceded in death by her parents Gus and Edith Schiela, and her husband Earl L. Jones, she is survived by her loving children, Karen Lindenmoyer and husband Alan, Kristin Pate, and Kenneth Jones and wife Brenda, her brothers Vincent Schiela, Sr. and Russell Schiela and their spouses, her beloved grandchildren Janet Lindenmoyer, Matthew Lindenmoyer, Nicole Pate, Jessie Pate, and Mitchell Jones, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church at 9:00 am where she worshiped faithfully. Burial will take place in Maryland. In lieu of flowers, if desired please make a donation to your favorite charity.

  3. We are deeply saddened for the loss of your Mom. She lived a very long life and it was time for her to go home to be with Jesus. She is at peace now. We know it gave her great comfort having you around her during her last days. We have many fond memories and will cherish them always. God be with you to get through this.
You are in our prayers always.
