Candace Marie Carlton

Candace Marie CarCandace Carltonlton, age 56, passed away on January 20, 2015. Candace won her long battle with metastatic breast cancer, but in winning the battle she lost the war. Candace was born in Winchester, Virginia, but spent a large amount of her life in Fredericksburg, Virginia where she raised her son, Jason Farrell. Candace came to Texas in 1997 and in 1999 began working at American National Insurance Company. Candace loved her job and the many friends she made at the company. Candace will always be remembered for her amazing happy joyful laugh, perpetual optimism and infectious spirit.
Candace is survived by her husband of 12 years, William Carlton and her son Jason Farrell. She also leaves behind her parents, Ed and Joyce Bishop, her sisters Diane Bishop and Devyn Bishop and her brothers Brian Bishop and Buddy Bishop.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00pm with a celebration of Candace’s life at 3 o’clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573.
In lieu of customary flowers and other remembrances donations should be directed to National Public Radio or its local affiliates.
