Bryan Richardson

 

Bryan Anthony Richardson (aka Big Daddy, aka Slim, aka Big Rich), 44, of League City, Texas, passed away on September 3rd 2019, of natural causes.  The funeral services will be held at New Hope Church Friendswood Campus, 108 W. Edgewood Dr. Friendswood, TX. 77546 at 2:00 pm on Tuesday September 10th, 2019. Pastor Mike Cervantes of New Hope Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 10th, 2019 at 12:30 pm at New Hope Church- Friendswood.  Bryan was born in Houston, TX. on December 6th, 1974. He graduated from Pearland High School class of 93 and continued to receive an Associate’s degree from College of the Mainland in Criminal Justice and graduated Phi Theta Kappa. He was currently in pursuit of his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Houston Downtown.  Bryan married the love of his life, Josolin “Holly” Richardson on February 28th; they were married for over 22 years.  Bryan is survived by his wife Holly, his amazing children that he was so proud of son Brendan and girlfriend Nikki, daughter Grace, brother Mark Richardson, in-laws John and Jonda Bradley and Nick and Elaine Pattillo, brothers-in-law Seth Pattillo and wife Jennifer, Jeff Bradley and wife Deanna, Jason Bradley and girlfriend Gina, sisters-in-law Nikole Franklin, and Brittney Bradley, Nieces and Nephews: Christopher, Lauren, Jacqueline, Austin, Jordan, Katie, Bailey, Chloe, Abbie, Jackson, Anna, and Christopher R. along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.  Bryan worked as the Police Sergeant for the City of Morgan’s Point Police Department for 11 ½ years. He enjoyed sporting events, collecting any and everything, being a member of the Chase N Moore Smoke BBQ cook-off team, organizing and attending any and all social events, hanging out on his patio, cooking for his family, and giving out world-famous Bryan hugs.  Bryan is preceded in death by parents John and Eileen Richardson, grandparents Edward and Willie Lee Richardson, grandparents Theodore and Mary Catherine Kreft.  Pallbearers: Joel Vincent, Drew Scroggins, Les Rose, Doug Talbott, Pat Harwell, Shawn Moore, Tim Luna, Cody Blalock.  Honorary pallbearers: Officer Jason Halik, Officer Kevin Lagana, Officer Roland Doyal, Officer Juan Saucedo.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Hope Church in memory of Bryan Richardson at 3640 County Rd 58 Manvel, TX. 77578 or newhopechurch.tv/giving.  The family of Bryan Anthony Richardson wishes to thank all of the many families and friends, as well as the Morgan’s Point Police Association for the kind words and support provided during the family’s time of need.

Skip had the utmost respect for your husband and considered him a friend although they did not see each other often.   4. Oh Holly (your children, friends and family) I can’t even begin to imagine what you are going through. The loss of Bryan is being felt all through Pearland and through the hearts of all of us who knew him and grew up with y’all. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you all. There are no words that can describe what we are all feeling. You and Bryan represented the love that so many of us desire and have searched for, for years. You two are truly inspiring.
