Brodie Coble

Brodie Coble, 90, a longtime resident of Dickinson, Texas passed away June 2, 2019 in League City.  Brodie was born January 25, 1929, to Marlin and Fara Brodie in Van Buren, Arkansas.  He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Amoco in Texas City until retirement.  Brodie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Monica Ann Coble, sisters Muriel Harris, Regina Hobbs, Rita Brown, and Novella Allen, brothers Marlin Coble, and Nolie Coble, and a great-grandson Kane Lewis.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 38 years Lorena Coble; daughter Margie Coble; sons Roger Coble, Michael Bruce Elliston and wife Jeanne, and Billy Gene Elliston and wife Denise; grandchildren Bevin, Cory, Tristan, Haley, Michelle, Michael, and Marshall; great-grandchildren Jethro, Astrid, and Jareth; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will be receiving friends 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 8, 2019, with a celebration of life at 2:00, at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas.

  4. Uncle Brodie, such a sweet gentleman…my memories of him from their family visits. I loved seeing him again in recent years at a reunion. His soft spoken manners, and nodding smile are images I will treasure. My prayers go out to Roger’s family and Margie and the rest of Brodie and Lorena’s family. Heaven’s gained a special southern angel!
