Billy George Webb

Billy George Webb, of League City, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in Webster, Texas at the age of 95. He was born on December 30, 1930 in Mt. Enterprise, Texas to Walter and Wilma Webb.
Bill attended high school in Port Naches/Groves, Texas where he was quite popular as head cheer leader of the cheerleading squad, he was on the basketball and football teams and was a member of the Industrial Arts Club, among others. He graduated from Port Naches High School in 1949. He attended Texas Tech University and then graduated from Baylor University, with a bachelor’s degree. He married his wife Dorothy in 1956 after meeting her 3 months earlier in Pennsylvania while stationed there in the in the US Army. They were married 7 days after his honorable discharge. Dorothy packed up and left her home town to follow him to Texas, where they lived together in blissful happiness for over 70 years. He retired from American National Insurance Company in 2000, after 25 years of employment. He has always been a faithful Christian man, being a member of Texas Avenue Baptist/Community Church for 50 years, where he was a Deacon for many years. He was a member of the Optimist Club and Toastmasters for many years. He enjoyed the game of golf, bowling, racquet ball, watching sports, photography, traveling with his wife and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed people watching, and general goofiness and tomfoolery.
He is preceded in death by his father Walter, mother Wilma, brother Alton, and his son Walter Kirkland.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Ann Webb, their children Andrea Kay Fleener and her children Jason Perry and Meagan Rene; William Scott Webb and wife Susan, his grandchildren Logan Scott Webb and wife Stephanie and their sons, Jackson David and Johnny Scott; Madison Riley Morgan and husband Samuel and their daughters Harper Ray, Eleanor Sue, Heidie Grace, and to join the family soon Lucy Anne; and Sydney Reagan Webb. And step grandchildren Benjamin, Buster, Jacob and Katie. His brother Paul Webb and his wife Fran; and his sister Betty Guidry and her husband Phil.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00pm for visitation and luncheon with a Ceremony at 2 o’clock at Texas Avenue Community Church, 320 Texas Ave, League City, TX 77573. A private interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
