Belinda Kay Phares (63) of Texas City, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was born on February 16, 1963 in Lake Jackson, Texas to Dorothy Mae and Carvel Howard Taylor. Formerly of Livingston, Belinda was a longtime resident of Texas City. She was the Retail Manager and Head Cashier at Sam’s Club – La Marque.

Belinda was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister; Jean Doss, and brothers, John Rouse and Ray Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Lee Phares; daughters, Mellissa Kay Golden, Kellie Marie Phares and Taylor Renee Phares; sons, Philip (PJ) Martin Alder, Jr., Brenton Allen Alder, and Keneth (Kenny)Dewayne Phares; sister, Joyce Ann Painter; brother, Donald Rouse; 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and her dog Milwaukee.

We also give a special thank you to Taylor Phares for taking such good care of mom.
