Arthur Lee Corbett, Jr., 69, of Algoa, lost his fight with cancer on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his residence. Arthur was born December 16, 1946, in Texas City, to Arthur Lee (Red) Corbett, Sr. and Lola Dell Shannon Corbett. Arthur was raised in La Marque and graduated from La Marque High School in 1966.  He served in the Navy for five years.  Arthur’s profession was a maintenance supervisor, retiring from UTMB after 25 years of service.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents. Arthur leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Linda, of 47 years; one son: Arthur “Bubba” Corbett III (Jamey); one daughter: Kim Corbett (Bobby Crawford); one granddaughter: McKenna Corbett; one sister: Donna Corbett Newding and one brother Richard Corbett.  Arthur will be missed dearly by family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2016,  at James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque.  Services will follow at 11:00 am, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bill Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Maurice Willis and the Oncology Health Care Team at UTMB Health in League City, and Annette and Tobi at Hospice Care Team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Care Team, INC, 1708 North Amber Road, Ste C, Texas City, TX 77591
