Anton “Tony” Alvarado

Alvarado-Tony 2015 webAnton “Tony” Alvarado, 70, of Hitchcock, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. Tony was born February 20, 1945, in El Campo, Texas, to Anton and Mary Louise Alvarado. Tony was an electrician, working for Amoco Oil Company. He served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. Tony is preceded in death by his parents. Tony is survived by his wife, Shirley Alvarado; two daughters: Summer Dawn De La Roche and husband Marc, Dana Bilbrey and husband Marty; two sons: Danney Curlee and wife Glorene and Fredrick Hatcher; one sister Susie Schexnaider and husband Dalton; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Boone officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, in Hitchcock.

    • I worked at Amoco Chemicals in the Storehouse and Tony was a co-worker with me in the Plant. I am saddened by his passing. He was Honest, Fair, and Likeable individual. My Prayers are with his family.

  2. I worked with Tony also. He was always tensing me about “Sancho”. I have been thinking about him lately. Sorry for your loss. He was a great guy.
