Abel Fuente

Fuente, A pic 2016Abel Fuente, 58, of La Marque went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was born on July 8, 1957 in Victoria, Texas to Albino and Antonia Fuente. Abel was a lifelong resident of La Marque and Texas City. He was also a member of the St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal 2014 A.C.T.S. Team. Mr. Fuente gave 20 years of dedicated service to Garner Environmental. He enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Abel is preceded in death by his father; Albino Fuente, sister; Rosemary Garza, brother in-law; Eusebio Hernandez, son; Merced Garza III and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife; Hope Fuente, mother; Antonia Fuente, children; Jesse Fuente, Monica Fuente, Able Fuente, Jr., and Chris Garza, eight granddaughters and seven grandsons, seven sisters; Louisa Hernandez, Elaine Capetillo (David), Lucy Danner (Jay), Patricia Stark (Dennis), Elizabeth Tobar (Mike), Rosann Ledesma (Jose) and Rosanna George (Gary), four brothers; Tony Fuente (Sylvia), Johnny Fuente, David Fuentes (Sherri), Frank Fuente (Robin), and a whole host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City (1604 9th Avenue N., Texas City, Texas 77590). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 2:00pm at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal with internment to follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.  Pallbearers will be David Howell, Gilbert Tobar, Pete Vasquez, Jr., Danny Garcia, Lino Tobar, Jr. and Jeffrey Vasquez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Able Fuente, Jr. and Jesse Fuente.
