Gene Allen Wright

wright-webGene Allen Wright, of League City, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the age of 86. He was born September 9, 1930, in Newton, West Virginia  to Frank and Margaret Wright and retired from Kodak in 1989 after serving in the US Air Force for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Sam, his son Wayne, and grandson Jeff. Gene is survived by his wife Barbara of 64 years; daughter Bobbie Brown and husband Dave of League City; son Rick and wife Karen of Parker, Tx; his brother John and wife Lu of Roanoke, Va; three grandsons Chris Wright and wife Michelle, Dan Brown and wife Amber, and Wayne Brown and wife Emily; and six great grandchildren GraceyAnn, Jacob, Matthew, Moses, Zachary, and Aiden.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11am at New Hope Baptist Church in Dickinson, Texas and burial in Ft Collins, Co. at a later date.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice, 1322 Space Park Drive, Suite A194, Houston, Texas 77058.

  1. Mrs. Wright- I am so sorry. You and your family sum up a great childhood for me. You and Mr. Wright were always so good to me and my family. My parents always treasured the friendship they have with you. I have so many fond memories of spending time with you. Making ice cream, making Christmas treats, Daisy and Wendy, Wayne always picking on me. I truly love your family and definitely feel this loss. My love and prayers have and always will be with you.   2. Dear Barbara and Family, We are so sorry for your loss and want you to know that we share your loss. Gene was a special person and had so much love and kindness to everyone. We have talked so much about the wonderful times the 4 of us had together and all the laughs we shared. Our hearts are broken but our prayers are with all of you and you are blessed to have the children around you. What a support team. We love you all very much.
