Betty Dale Brandt, of Texas City, Texas, peacefully passed away on Friday September 18, 2026 at the age of 81.  She was born on April 7, 1945 to William and Mary Jane Turtelot.

She was adopted by her stepfather at 10 yrs old and had two brothers, George Thomas Confer and Paul Richard Confer. Later in life she was reunited with a sister who was put up for adoption, Jo K Mak. She attended the University of Houston and Texas A&M, majoring in Business. She married her high school sweetheart at 19, Melvyn “Buddy” Earnest Brandt. She was married for 17 years before her divorce in 1981. She had two children, Matthew Earl Brandt and Mary Evalyn Brandt Dwyer.  She had one grandchild, Natalie Kaitlin Dwyer.

She enjoyed shopping, watching movies and television, listening to music, playing piano and gardening.

She worked most of her life as executive or administrative assistant. She was employed by Bank United for 17 years and finished her career at two title companies, Texas American Title and Startex Title Company.

She is preceded in death by her father William Turtelot, her adopted father Arthur B Confer, her mother Mary Jane Confer, her brother George Thomas Confer, her ex-husband Melvyn E Brandt, her father and mother- in- law Orville and Margaret Brandt and her son Matthew E Brandt.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Eve and Bill Dwyer, her granddaughter Natalie Dwyer, her brother Paul Confer, her sister and brother-in-law Jo K and Stan Mak.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 1pm with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 2pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main St. League City, Tx. 77573
