Grady Donald Shelton, age 72, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, in Webster, Texas.

Grady was born on May 25, 1954 in Peoria, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Shelton and his mother Darlene Bruce.

He is survived by his sister Lynn Johnston, her husband Dave, and their four children: Mike Johnston and his daughters Katelyn and Kendall; Mindy and Todd Leach and their sons Mitchell and Cole, Matthew and Julie Johnston and their children Chase and Chloe; and Melissa and Brian Grice and their children CJ, Brooke and Gabrielle.

He is also survived by his mother’s sister Marilyn Page, and her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren: Daniel Page, Brad and Cindy Page and their children, Duncan and Jennifer Page and their daughters Leona and Jolie Miller, Joshua and Tracy Page, and Lauren and Zac Scotton and their children, Brooklyn and William, Valerie and Chuck James and their daughter and her family, Allison and Sean Daugherty, and their children Avery and Marshall and Dianne and Richard Mitrisin, and their daughter Sela and their son and his wife Brendan and Hannah Mitrisin. He is also survived by his cousin Marcie Cardona and her ex.

Grady dedicated much of his professional life to Continental Manufacturing, where he began his career in sales in 1983, before moving into procurement, where he excelled and earned the respect of his colleagues throughout the company. He was a valued colleague and a dear friend whose kindness, dedication and friendship touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of getting to know him and working with him.

Outside of work, Grady had a passion for art, photography, and music. He especially loved playing the guitar and singing for his friends and family, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Grady will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm heart, unwavering work ethic, and the genuine friendships he built throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and all whose lives were brighter because of him.
