On the early morning of August 30, 1981, the phone rang. It’s a girl and she is beautiful! We are going to name her Jessica Ashleigh Brinegar. Her grandparents and all of the family members were overjoyed. As Jessica grew she developed a love for animals, especially horses. Later she had her own horse.

Jessica spent her entire life in the coastal area, moving from Kemah to Dickinson and then to League City. Growing up she had two brothers and three male cousins who lived next door. Jessica fit right in, playing and defending herself with her cousins when necessary. She could hold her own with the guys. Jessica didn’t mind speaking her mind, and one always knew where they stood with her. She loved the outdoors, spending as much time as she could taking care of her animals.

Jessica graduated from Clear Creek High School on May 1998. While there she continued her love for animals by joining the 4H organization. After graduation, she went on to work in various and interesting jobs. Driving an eighteen wheeler truck was the most amazing job. Her supervisor once said that “Jessica, you could give the guys lessons on driving”. Later she attended Lee Community College graduating with an Associate Degree. While there she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Jessica met Jimmy Airies in Bacliff, Texas and they fell in love. Together they had two beautiful children, Noah and Ashleigh, who were the loves of her life.

Jessica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Minor Taylor, Oliver and Flora Brinegar, her beloved brother Justin Ross Brinegar, and James Airies, father of her children Noah and Ashleigh.

Jessica is survived by her children, Noah and Ashleigh Airies, mother, Karen Brinegar, father Charles Brinegar, brother Austin Brinegar, grandmother Carolyn Taylor, Karen Airies grandmother of Noah and Ashleigh, her aunt Connie Taylor, her great aunt Josephine Scruggs, uncles Mickey Taylor and wife Virginia, Johnny Taylor and wife, Christina, James Taylor, Jerry Brinegar and family, cousins John Taylor, Joe Taylor, Michael Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Linda Wade, and many other cousins and friends.

Jessica Ashleigh Brinegar entered this world on August 30, 1981 and she left us on May 11, 2026 at the age of 44. Jessica was loved by all of us, and we miss her beautiful smile and contagious laughter. She will be in our hearts forever.
