Justin John Sessum

Justin John Sessum, 43, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Seabrook, Texas. He was born on August 18, 1982, in Webster, Texas, to Robert Lester Sessum and Diann Fern Sessum.

Justin is survived by his brothers, Ryan Sessum and Jared Sessum; his beloved niece, Reagan Sessum, who held a special place in his heart; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Sessum; and numerous extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. His City Rise Church family also held a special place in his heart, and he was deeply grateful for the friendships and purpose he found there. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sessum; his brother, Bret Sessum; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Justin earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston and dedicated his career as an Audio/Visual Technician at City Rise Church. He had a true passion for helping others and serving the Lord, faithfully living out that calling each day through both his work and his personal life. Justin was known for his unwavering kindness, his generous spirit, his love for all things Pittsburgh, and his deep devotion to his family. Above all, he treasured every moment spent with his niece, Reagan, bringing joy, laughter, and unconditional love to her life.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m. at City Rise Church – West University Campus, 6218 Auden Street, Houston, Texas 77005. A Reception will immediately follow the service at the church, with Interment afterward at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Justin’s memory may make a donation to City Rise Church Pathways, 6218 Auden Street, Houston, Texas 77005.

Justin’s legacy of kindness, faith, generosity, and love for others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
