Melissa Lynn Gonzalez
Melissa Lynn Gonzalez, 39, went to be with our Lord on August 17, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1982, at The Woman’s Hospital in Houston, TX. She moved to Pearland, TX two years ago where she resided with her family.
Melissa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, granddaughter, and friend. Of all her roles, she loved being a wife to her husband, Eduardo who she met in 2003 and married in 2007, and devoted mother to their children, Hannah and Roman. She had a very special bond with her daughter and never missed an opportunity to see her son play sports. Melissa was a kind-hearted person that would help anyone in need. She enjoyed traveling, especially taking vacations with her family where they created beautiful memories together. In her free time, you could find her relaxing on the water, fishing or out running the streets shopping. Melissa also enjoyed anytime spent with family and friends and never missed a chance to throw a good party.
For the last 15 years, Melissa worked at Diamond Refractory, currently serving as the Human Resource Manager. She always went out of her way to support the employees she hired. She gave many people a start in the field and built long-standing relationships with most, referring to some as “her kids.”
Melissa touched many lives both personally and professionally and will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Eduardo Gonzalez; daughter, Hannah Rosa Gonzalez; son, Roman Alexander Gonzalez; parents, Deborah and David Zenteno and father, Bubba Hanks; grandparents, Betty and JB Hanks and Elsa Zenteno; sisters Valen Zenteno and Vanessa Zenteno as well as numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will all miss her dearly.
Services will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX on September 18, 2021. Family visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. and friends are welcome from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.
To experience a love like the one you gave is more than a feeling it is a blessing. You have been my Ace, PIC, and cousin and the connection was true from the start! Inseparable!! Even when life came around you always wanted to MAKE sure the family and friends all got together. We all admired that about you! To say that I will miss you is an understatement of how I feel. The laughs, Shopping, SA trips, Micheladas, dancing, spending the nights at your house will never be forgotten or matched. To an eternity of love cousin. I’ll see you in the Butterflies 🦋

I remember my sweet cousin as a little girl full of joy, and then a first time mother at her shower for her first child. My hear aches for her husband and children, her mom, dad, grandma and grandpa Hanks (my Aunt Betty and Uncle Buddy). She went to her heavenly home way to early and I know forever she will be remembered for her loving heart for all she knew. Love and prayers, for all those who mourn her passing. Rhonda Hanks Evans

Just an Angel to us on earth
You were a great woman and a great friend and co-worker. I always loved the fact that you wouldn’t put up with any BS and gave back as much as you took! You did so much for so many and will be missed. Our mornings at the office are so different without you and our daily talks! Heaven needed a new and great Angel so the Lord took you home. Love you Melissa – we will look for your butterflies! Prayers to your family.
Tia Melissa you left to early but you are with the angels. that’s what you where to me the best aunt anyone could ask for you. Words can’t the describe the sadness but the good memories an good times we spend together will never been forgotten tia I will forever have you in my heart and I will be there for my cousins an my tio love you tia!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Melissa was a wonderful mother and wife, extremely humble, caring, and such beautiful person inside and out. She will me missed and never forgotten. My husband and I extend my deepest sympathies to her immediate family. May the soul of such a graceful woman be at peace with our Heavenly Father. Miss you to the moon and back!!!!!!! No one can even imagine the grief I feel every day I wake up you were my first born child I can only try to move forward but it is so hard I tell God every day please leave me sleeping and let me go to be with you but I know I have to stay for my other grandchildren you have no idea how much I want to go and be there and see you again, neon moon will be playing soon and I will reunite with you my beautiful daughter love you forever and ever your mother forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😪😪😪
