William Frank Shaw passed peacefully from this life on October 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father.
Born and raised in Pasadena, Texas, and a longtime resident of League City, Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness, humor, and steady leadership touched everyone who knew him.
A man of deep faith, integrity, and compassion, Bill loved his family fiercely—they were his greatest joy. He always showed up, supported others without hesitation, and led by example. His strength, wisdom, and gentle heart were a source of comfort to all who knew him. He made life fun and meaningful for those around him.
Bill’s professional life reflected his unwavering commitment to safety, leadership, and the development of others. He served on the Health and Safety Council Executive Committee beginning in 2009 and as Board Chair in 2017 and 2018. Through his leadership, he helped shape HASC’s initiatives in workforce development, leadership training, and industry partnerships, strengthening collaboration with organizations such as WJTA and VPPPA.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Bill earned multiple credentials in safety and organizational leadership, exemplifying his dedication to excellence. At Evergreen North America Industrial Services, he served as Vice President of HSE and later as Vice President of Learning & Development. His passion for building a culture of safety and continuous improvement inspired everyone he worked with. He retired as Vice President of HSE and Employee Development, leaving behind a legacy of care, respect, and professional integrity.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 45 and a half years, Suzanne Shaw; daughter, Mindy Anderson and husband Joe; son, Mitchell Shaw and wife Johana; and his beloved grandson, Landon Shaw. He is also survived by his sisters Angie Williams; Kathi Ayala and husband Buddy; Debbie Shaw; brother-in-law Randy Deyo; brother-in-law James Childs and wife Maria; sister-in-law Luann Stampley; sister-in-law
Pam Gossett; and brother-in-law Bill Schendel III and wife Tere; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karen and H.B. Shaw; mother-in-law, Laverne Schendel and husband Bill; father-in-law, Darrell Childs and wife Dorris; sister, Sandi Deyo; brother-in-law, David Schuren; and nephew, David Childs.
Bill will be remembered for his faith, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the example he set, and the love he gave so freely.
